Welcome to Issue 005 of the
Liz Roberts Design E-Newsletter!

Spring is finally here, though it was a long time coming.

It's time again to do some spring cleaning, empty out all
of the old files, throw out anything that isn't necessary,
and while you're doing that, see how consistent your business
"look" is....does it need some spring cleaning too?

This month we take a look at some ways to bring your image up to date and bring a fresh new look to your business.

Our showcase is an example of how one of our clients is doing just that... and getting a great response.

Enjoy the issue!

Facelifts and Makeovers

Even if you have an existing logo or image....is it working for you? I have had people tell me that they have had a certain logo for years and shouldn't change it. Not so! If that logo is dated or very unsophisticated, it is time to bring it up-to-date. Logo's evolve....we can keep the basic concept of your design and bring it in to the new milennium. Add some class and vibrancy, some depth and colour and make it work for you.

Take a look at what you have now....could it use a facelift?

If the answer is yes, sit down with a graphic designer and discuss what has to be changed...if the basic concept is good, a touch-up could cost you a lot less than a new design.

And how about your business cards, are thay plain black on white card? With the introduction
of digital printing, there is no need for these simple, unmemorable cards anymore. You can
have full colour for just $169 for 1,000 cards or even less, and you can order in smaller quantities too!

Consider a makeover.....just as a woman can go to a beauty parlour and ask for a makeover,
get a new hairstyle and colour, new make up, even a new style of clothes....everyone knows
she is still the same woman, she just looks better, and a lot more people pay attention to her.
So it is with your business image, you can have your image brought up to date without losing
business, in fact you will probably gain some because you will be more attractive, more noticeable.

Many small businesses say they cannot afford a professional design, it's not in their budget!
If you want your business to succeed....can you afford to go unnoticed?

It's About Time

It's About Time is a rather unique business, a corporate and personal concierge. This lady is very business-smart and wanted to go about setting up her company in a professional manner with a consistent look to all of her business materials. She wanted to be modern and upbeat but at the same time, appeal to the corporate customer. The look also had to give an idea as to the nature of her business.

The purpose of the business is to "run errands" for the busy professional from picking up dry cleaning to organizing and co-ordinating parties, even weddings etc.

We started with the hourglass to associate with time running out, used a background of bustling people and finished off with a leather look folder to signify the professional level of the company.

It was all developed in photoshop using fades and textures to give depth. The logo itself is in white...clean, clear and uncluttered.

Postcards

Postcards are more than just a token you send to your friends and family when you go on a vacation....postcards can be an excellent form of advertising for you. They don't get tucked in an envelope and hidden from view, they are always visible and are a great way to show off your product. You can mail them to prospective customers, existing clients as well as friends.

This sample is from Loubon, exclusive giftware. These cards not only show samples of Loubon's giftware, they also show elegance and taste.
